OnePlus not onlylaunched its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone in its London event but also introduced its OnePlus Bullet Wireless earphones. The wireless accessory was touted by the company co-founder Carl Pei for the use of Dash Charging tech.
The wireless earbuds cost $69 (roughly Rs. 4,700) and will be made available in select countries starting June 5. The India prices of the Bullet Wireless earphones have not been revealed yet.
OnePlus’s new wireless earphones support Bluetooth v4.1. To deliver better audio quality, the company has also brought the support for Qualcomm aptX technology. It has 9.2mm drivers along with something called as ‘Energy Tube’ technology to stabilise the audio and reduce noise.
The earphones can be put together to pause the audio as they come with magnetic switches. Pulling them apart will resume the audio. It is also possible to pick up calls using the accessory. Besides sporting an in-line remote control, the Bullet Wireless earbuds can charge using company’s home-brewed Dash Charge tech.
It is claimed to run for 8 hours on a single charge. Also mentioned is that the neckband can deliver up to 5 hours of playback time in just 10 minutes of charge. The water-resistant earphones also support Google Assistant.
As for the OnePlus 6, the smartphone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo-based OxygenOS out of the box. It has a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED screen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, clubbed with 6GB and 8GB RAM. The smartphone also comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants. As for the camera, the OnePlus 6 comes with dual rear cameras including 16MP (Sony IMX519) +20MP (Sony IM376K sensor) setup like before. However, the Sony image sensors have been upgraded. At the front, there is a 16MP sensor (Sony IMX371) with unique portrait mode features. Backed by a 3300mAh battery, the smartphone’s base model costs $ 529 (roughly Rs 35,900).
